The weather is not great this week, so what happens on a Charter Adventure with Fozie!
Well, Fozie is up and has been checking the weather reports & bar conditions before heading into town to the boat at the Trawler Marina, West Ballina.Then he’s at the boat getting all the fishing gear ready. Checked the engine (a 9 liter v6 2 stroke Detroit which is turbo and supercharged) and making sure all is good to go. Fozie is just a little excited to be going out fishing again as he loves doing this .
You arrive and are given a briefing on what to expect today and safety information about the boat and what to do in an emergency.
It’s time for you all head out as the sun is breaking on the horizon. As you are heading down the Richmond river towards the Ballina bar, Fozie will give you all a life jacket (always safety first, mandatory for crossing coastal bars in NSW), across the bar & out to the fishing grounds.
Fozie explains the best ways to maximise your fishing efforts, helps bait your hooks and removes the fish off the hooks as they are caught. You drop the line to the bottom, within minutes, you are hooked up and pulling in your first fish for the day. Fozie keeps you on the fish all morning. Time fly’s when you are having so much fun and getting so many hook ups, all too early the time comes to head home. On the way back in you may be lucky enough to see a pod of Dolphins or whales at play.
