WHAT TO BRING
All you need is loose comfortable clothing, a jumper / raincoat depending on the day. Sunscreen and a hat and any food you may like to nibble on. A Great attitude is always welcome for your fishing adventure.
Alcohol is permitted BYO; we ask that you drink responsibly and not put yourself and others on the boat in any danger.
Sea sickness is a chance to those who don’t go to sea very often. We recommend you take a seasick tablet 1 hour before boarding the boat and another before we leave port. Various brands of tablets and old wive’s tales on the prevention of seasickness are out there, we find the use of Kwells to be the most consistent performer. I found the first 30 years the hardest to get over seasickness, but it gets considerably easier after that.
We DO NOT CLEAN YOUR CATCH; we feel this is part of the fishing adventure experience. We will ice down the fish caught and distribute them to you upon arrival back at port. Bring a suitable esky to take home your fish as well as a fish scaler / knife to clean your catch. There are excellent fish cleaning facilities adjacent to both Ballina and Evans Head Marinas.
